Non-excited DC Electromagnetic Brake 24VDC 0.32Nm for Nema 14 Stepper Motor
This brake is non-excited brake and operate with 24VDC, it can create Max 0.32Nm(45.32oz.in) static friction torque. It's suitable for Nema 14 stepper motor.
The operating principle is:
When the electric power is applied, the armature is pulled by the electromagnetic force in the magnet body assembly, which overcomes the spring action. This allows the friction disc to rotate freely. When electrical power is interrupted, the electromagnetic force is removed and the pressure spring mechanically forces the armature plate to clamp the friction disc between itself and the pressure plate. This develops torque to hold the load.
Precautions for Brake Installation:
1. The motor must have a matching rear shaft.
2. There are corresponding mounting holes on motor, and the size fits.
